Outdoor Time Travel Detective Trail
Calling all young detectives! Travel back in time at Nottingham Castle, and meet some characters to help you solve history’s mysteries!

A free spotter trail from Kids in Museums and Hachette, celebrating the release of Art School (in a book), from the makers of hit podcast Talk Art, actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament.

Explore the caves
Our cave tours allow you to hear the tales beneath the depths of Nottingham Castle.
This cave tour allows you to see Mortimer’s hole or King David’s Dungeon (subject to the cave availability on the day).

Fun in the Castle! Children will love to swing, slide, climb, jump and play through our historical amazing creative timber play structures.

Brewhouse Yard Cottages
Brewhouse Yard and its 17th Century cottages tell the stories of some of the people who lived here over four hundred years. This Museum at Brewhouse Yard has been part of Nottingham’s changing story and important cloth trades affecting the lives of many of the city’s communities. This is available at weekend & included in the Nottingham Castle admission ticket.

It is a perfect time of year to enjoy the seasonal changes of the trees in the Nottingham Castle grounds.
