Heritage Open Days
As part of Heritage Open Days, we are opening up Brewhouse Yard with free admission, so visitors can explore 400 years of living history in the cottages beneath the rock.
Date: Saturday 20th September 2025 – Sunday 21st September 2025
Time: 12:00 pm – 15:00 pm (last entry 14:00 pm)
Meaning more visitors can explore the 17th Century cottages in Brewhouse Yard that tell the stories of some of the people who lived there over four hundred years ago.

Location: Brewhouse Yard is located as part of our wider Nottingham Castle site. It is located at the base of the Nottingham Castle site and its postcode is: NG7 1FB

Spotlight on Nottingham’s Architectural Collections – Off-Site Stores
We’re running free tours of the off-site Nottingham City Museums & Galleries stores, sharing items of architectural significance, including architectural models, all referenced to our 3D topographical models of the city centre in 1830 and 1960.
Friday 12th, Wednesday 17th or Thursday 18th September: Tours at 10.30am and 1pm, for 90 minutes
Location : NG5 (exact location shared upon booking by email)
