Job opportunities at Nottingham Castle for people aged between 16 and 24
Ahead of our reopening in the summer, we’re delighted to announce that Nottingham Castle is offering a number of exciting opportunities to work in five different roles in various departments at the newly restored Castle. The roles are varied and range from welcoming our visitors to working in administration, and are being made available through the Department of Work & Pensions Kickstart Scheme.
What is the Kickstart Scheme?
The Kickstart Scheme provides new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit. The placements are for a minimum of 25 hours a week for a total of 6 months and they are paid at the National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage (18-20yrs: £6.56 ; 21-22yrs: £8.36; 23+: £8.91).
What roles are on offer?
We are offering the following roles as part of the Kickstart Scheme:
- Facilities Assistant
- HR Learning Assistant
- HR Recruitment Assistant
- Learning and Engagement Assistant
- Visitor Host
What support will you provide as part of the role?
As well as job specific training, we will also provide support in looking for long-term work.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for these placements, you must be between the ages of 16 and 24 and registered for Universal Credit. You will need to be referred by your local Jobcentre. Find my local Jobcentre.
