Access Artefacts
With over 11,000 museum artefacts available to loan, our handling collection is one of the most comprehensive heritage and educational services available in the country.

History at your fingertips
Held in a dedicated store close to Wollaton Park, and managed by experienced museum staff to accreditation standards, Access Artefacts supplies loan objects to schools and community groups with over 8,500 users annually.

For schools
The collection covers a huge range of themes, including social history, archaeology, geology, industrial history, the natural sciences and others.

Schools Resource Boxes
Developed to meet the requirements of the national curriculum from Foundation to Key Stage 3, Resource Boxes contain between 10 and 20 objects related to a specific theme as well as information, planned activities and a fact sheet.
