Join Robin Hood or one of the merrie band for a guided tree trail and build a den and defences to make your escape to after your raid on the sheriff’s treasury. Decide who you would help – would you take from the rich to help those in need? Plus, discover the real history of Nottingham’s famous outlaw.
Learning objectives
- Discovering the tales of Nottingham’s hooded outlaw
- Understand Nottingham Castle’s role as a place of historic and national importance
- Participating in role-play and outdoor learning; learn about the natural world and discuss whether we would ever rob from the rich to give to those in need
- Significant historical events, people and places in their own locality
- Actively promoting fundamental British values
- Participate in discussions, presentations, performances, role play/improvisations and debates
- Role-play in enhancing comprehension
