KS1 and KS2 | Subject: History, English, Drama, Outdoor Learning, British Values | Topics: Castles, Robin Hood Join Robin Hood or one of the merrie band for a guided tree trail and build a den and defences to make your escape to after your raid on the sheriff’s treasury. Decide who you would help – would you take from the rich to help those in need? Plus, discover the real history of Nottingham’s famous outlaw. Learning objectives
  • Discovering the tales of Nottingham’s hooded outlaw
  • Understand Nottingham Castle’s role as a place of historic and national importance
  • Participating in role-play and outdoor learning; learn about the natural world and discuss whether we would ever rob from the rich to give to those in need

  • Significant historical events, people and places in their own locality
  • Actively promoting fundamental British values
  • Participate in discussions, presentations, performances, role play/improvisations and debates
  • Role-play in enhancing comprehension
