Now that the festive period is in full swing, we thought it high time we introduce you to some of the brilliant Makers that stock the Nottingham Castle Shop. This week, we’re speaking to Aaron from Aroment. Read on to find out more…
Tell us a bit about yourselves! What’s your name, and what do you sell?
I’m Aaron and I’m based on the border between Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire. I make highly fragranced, long lasting home fragrance products, including reed diffusers, scoop-able wax melts and home sprays. I created Aroment after feeling frustrated with the home fragrance market; I struggled to find quality scented products, and most of the ones I did try didn’t last longer than a few days. So, after many months of testing and researching, I decided to create my own business. Aroment aims are to create great smelling home aromas, which last much longer than most other products on the market, whilst also being eco friendly.
What would you recommend as the perfect luxury gift from your range?
Our reed diffusers are a great luxury gift, especially our Mandarin Tea Orange Blossom & Jasmine scent. This scent is incredibly popular amongst our customers, including visitors to Nottingham Castle.
What would you recommend as the perfect stocking filler from your range?
Our Scoop & Melt Tins are a great stocking filler! They contain over double the amount of fragrance compared to many other wax melts or candles on the market, which makes the wax very soft (and scoop-able!) This also means they last a lot longer than conventional wax melts.
What’s your favourite thing about working with Nottingham Castle?
I love working with Nottingham Castle, not only due to its rich heritage & history, but also because of the ethos of the shop. There are so many locally-made products in the shop, and we feel really privileged to be a part of the Castle story.
Finally, what’s your favourite Christmas tipple?
This depends on whether I have a Christmas Market to attend in the morning! But I do love a rhubarb gin & tonic or a good ol’ glass of Prosecco.
Thanks, Aaron! You can follow Aroment on Instagram here.
