Nottingham Residents’ Discount
Nottingham residents living in postcode districts NG1 to NG16 receive a discount on general admission tickets:

IMPORTANT – Proof of residence will be required. Please bring a council tax bill, utilities bill, or driving license with you when you visit to show to our Admissions Team.
Visitors with a disability and seniors (aged 65+) receive a discount, making general admission tickets £12.
Students 18+ in full-time education receive a discount, making general admission tickets £12.
Students at Nottingham Trent University, University of Nottingham and Nottingham College can receive a further 20% off student general admission tickets. Just use code NOTTSTUD20 at the checkout.
IMPORTANT – Proof of student status will be required. Please bring your student card or present your UniDays app on arrival.

- Art Fund Pass holders. Tickets can be booked online or at the Visitor Centre. Please note, you will need to show your Art Fund Pass on arrival.
- Members of the Museum Association with a valid membership. Tickets can be booked online or at the Visitor Centre. Please note, you will need to show your membership on arrival.
- Veterans of the Mercian Regiment. Please show your WFRA membership card on arrival.
- Blue Peter badge holders (when accompanied by a full paying adult). Tickets can be booked online or at the Visitor Centre. Please show your badge on arrival.
Pay What You Can Afford Scheme
The Pay What You Can Afford Scheme allows you to make a donation amount of your choice for your visit to Nottingham Castle.
To book using this scheme, please email email@example.com at least 48 hours in advance of your visit. Let us know the date and time you’d like to come, and the number of people in your party. Please note, this applies to General Admission tickets only.
Tram Event Ticket
When pre-booking Nottingham Castle tickets you can purchase a Nottingham Express Transit (NET) Tram event return ticket for a reduced rate of £2.50 per person.
Please ensure that each person travelling has a Net Tram event ticket and valid Nottingham Castle ticket before you board the tram to the City Centre and can show both when requested by the travel officer.
As a charity we will be able to claim Gift Aid on tickets purchased by UK tax-payers who are willing to make an additional 10% donation on top of the standard ticket price. This is a voluntary donation which will be applied at checkout if you choose to Gift Aid your purchase.
